Your Body Is The Member Of Christ

By Chris Ayakhilome

To most Christians, being a member of the body of Christ means they are joined to the Lord spiritually in a mystically body. But the opening scripture shows us it isn't just our spirits that are joined to the Body of Christ; our very physical bodies are part of His body! Notice the Apostle Paul in the scripture above didn't say, "Your body is a member of Christ," which would have led us to believe he was speaking in a generic sense; he said "your bodies are the members of Christ", meaning he is referring to our individual bodies. We are joined to the Lord spiritually and physically!

No wonder the Bible says "we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30). This means that the life of Christ is manifested through our bodies. Christ literally lives in you! He dwells in your spirit and expresses Himself through your physically body. This is why sickness, disease, and weakness ought not to thrive in your physical body. When you're conscious of this truth that Christ lives in you, it will be impossible for you to experience any infirmity!

The reason many have suffered so much trouble in their physical bodies regarding their health is their lack of knowledge. According to the provisions of the gospel it ought not to be possible for any child of God to be sick or suffer affliction of any kind.

You're the temple of the Holy Spirit, Christ rules and functions in your physical body. Meditate on this truth and let it gain the ascendancy in your spirit. Live with the daily consciousness that your body is the member of Christ. As you do, sin, sickness, and disease will be completely banished from your life.

Chris passionately writes to teach people all over the world about Jesus Christ.
