The Secret to Your Healing Is In the Word

By Ann Stewart

"Attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." (Prov. 4: 20-22)

The Bible is clear. These verses, and many others throughout the Word of God, promise that it is God's divine will to heal you. There are many, however, that will make a career out of disputing this. That is so sad because they are holding back God's greatest promise of miracles from themselves and many others. It's quite simply a sign of unbelief on their part. Many claim that they have prayed and prayed, but nothing happened. Have you been there? I know I have; many times before I discovered the secret.

The question is not whether it is God's Will to heal, but rather whether you really believe it. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Rom. 10: 17) That's in essence saying that, if you are not familiar with the whole Word of God, then it's hard to build up your faith.

Every believer has been given the measure of faith. (Rom. 12: 3) God did not say 'a' measure, suggesting that some have more than others. He tells us that we all have 'the' measure to live a full, abundant life! In fact, you only need faith the size of a grain of mustard seed to remove mountains of burdens from your life! (Mat. 17: 20)

Ask yourself the following questions: "Do I beg God for my needs only when I am in real trouble"? "Do I know God's Promises for my life? and Do I know how to pray effectively"?

These questions are crucial to having your needs met. The answers are all in the Word of God and they must be personally discerned. No, don't give up now! Don't tell yourself that it's too hard or too complicated! It's not! The gospel is very simple and easy to understand! It's all about coming to the Lord as a little child, climbing on your Daddy's knee and telling Him your needs. He already knows what you need before you ask Him! (Mat. 6: 8)

When you were a child, did your earthly father mean well and promise you all kinds of things? You know that he loved you, but yet you could not be sure that he would give you whatever you asked, right? If your father was generous with you, then how much more shall your Father in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Mat. 7: 11)

All you need to do is ask Him, seek and knock because:

"every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Mat. 7: 8)

Are there any conditions to receiving your requests? Yes; really only one, and that is to know the One whom you're asking! If your father was a stranger to you, you wouldn't ask him anything, would you? The Bible is Heavenly Father's loveletter written especially for you! Read a part of it every day and then meditate on it. The Father's heart will be laid bare before you through His Word. Only then can you truly understand the First Commandment:

"Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind and with all thy strength. (Mark. 12: 30)

The more you read about Him, the closer He draws to you and the better you get to know Him. Remember, he created Adam to have fellowship with Him! That's all He wants from you; to be able to walk and talk with you. He is your greatest friend and benefactor; you'll see! The more you trust Him for healing your headache and receive your healing, the more your faith will grow for healing of more serious illnesses and conditions!

Think of it this way: are you a social network chatter, keeping in touch daily with all your past and present friends? Millions of people are! How about chatting first and foremost with your only true friend! He is the only one:

"Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases, who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Ps. 103: 3-5)

See? It's not hard. The better you get to understand His Word, the more of it gets stored in your heart. The Word of God will instantly flow out, coupled with the faith it has produced, whenever you will need it most. That's when He will say to you:

"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation." (Ps. 91: 14-16)

Praying To The Point Of Tears

By Troy Pearsall

Nothing has hindered the blessing or the manifestation of blessing in the life of urban men today more than the concept it is un-manly to cry.

With time, a believer in Christ an individual learns to mature beyond the inundated precepts of a society motivated by the whiles of Satan's pride. That bit of society that tells us men should not cry. However, for some, the need to restrict crying is never released; not in public prayer, not even in secret prayer with God. Some men never realize that tears are not a sign of weakness but the expression of compassion. And because of this they never reach the full potential of their prayer through compassion of Christ.

One of the things God desire in our life is that Christians learn to lean on him for all things in our life. However, this to some men may seem like an admission of weakness, pride says to them "they don't need anyone" This is how the god of this world interjects his poison into even our prayer and our relationship with God.

We listen to society telling us that we are self-sufficient, But the man or women of God is not self-sufficient in fact, the very opposite is true. If a man believes he can do anything himself, he has no God in him.. Not until God sees the hopelessness in his life, and he experiences the realization that his personal situation is solely dependent on God's will for salvation; when no man or women, no job or circumstance, can provide salvation. Not until he gets to the point in life when he can do nothing but break down in tears crying out to God, realizing that in God's hand alone is his salvation. Then God smile on him and hears his prayers.

So when a person prays there must be a level of desperation. If our own needs are not important enough to more us tears, how can we expect it to have the power needed to move God to intercede in our situation? The bible is full of scripture where the tears shed in prayer are heard by God.

2 Kings 20:5 (KJV)

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Hebrews 5:5-7 (KJV)

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that [people and animals with names are never "that" they are "who"] said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that [people and animals with names are never "that" they are "who"] was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

From the above verse in Hebrews we see that even Jesus Christ would pray to the point of tears. But not until we read psalms 56:8 do we get any idea as to why.

Psalms 56:8 (TNIV)

Record my misery; list my tears on your [Word choice-using the second-person pronoun "you" is inappropriate in academic writing. Except within a direct quote, rewrite with third-person pronouns (he, she, it, they).] scroll are they not in your [Word choice-using the second-person pronoun "you" is inappropriate in academic writing. Except within a direct quote, rewrite with third-person pronouns (he, she, it, they).] record? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me [Simplify. You are writing this, so "for me" is not needed. ]

Okay, I'm going to say it. Sometimes prayer is ineffectual just because there are no tears. This does not mean that tears make a prayer effectual. However, if your prayer can not move you to sorrow, and you are doing the prayer, how much less is it moving God to want to see that prayer fulfilled?

Every one of ancient times cried out in prayer to the Lord. I would go as far to say that it appears to be those that cried the hardest are the ones that did the greatest works in God. In Paul's letter to Timothy he writes

"I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;" 2 Timothy 1:3-4 (KJV)

I hope that I have given some of my personal insight into prayers. Your Brother in Christ

From Darkness to Light

By Awdhesh Singh

Once upon a time, there was a famous painter. He decided by make a painting of the noblest person on the world. He traveled far and wide and finally he found a saint on a mountain who was famous for his wisdom. When he met him, the saint was surrounded by innumerable followers who worshiped him like God. The painter requested him that he wanted to make his painting and the saint agreed. The painter made his paining and kept in his drawing room.

Many years passed. The painter decided that he should make the painting of the most evil man of the world. He traveled far and wide and finally found a person in a prison who was undergoing punishment for innumerable heinous crimes. He took permission from the jailer for making the painting of the evil man and brought him home. The evil man asked, "Why do you want to make my paining?" "Because you the most evil person on this world", replied the painter.

In the drawing room, he asked the evil man to sit on a chair and started making his painting. The evil man saw before him the painting of the noblest man and asked the painter, "Who is that man?"

"He is the noblest man on this world". The painter replied

One listening this, the evil man stated crying profusely.

"Why are you crying?" Asked the painter. "Are you feeling ashamed on yourself sitting opposite the noblest man of the world?"

"No." replied the painter. "The other painting is also mine."

The world is extremely mysterious. How quickly a good man can become evil, is difficult to imagine. People are all noble as child. Yet as they grow, many of them become evil. They may acquire all wealth and power of this world, yet happiness deludes them, as only good can bring happiness.

Why one becomes evil?

However hard the God and man tried, evil, has always survived in this world. In scriptures, evil is compared with darkness and untruth while good is compared with light and truth. An ancient prayer expresses the desire of every man in following words

"Lord, take me from the darkness to light, from untruth to truth and from sickness to good health."

Evil is like a darkness which is always present in the world. It is removed only by the light. As soon as the light is diminished, darkness prevails. Darkness like ignorance is the most natural state of the world. Light like Truth requires energy hence a source of the energy. It is easy to say "I don't know" then to say "I know". You require no effort for "not knowing" a thing but need effort to "know" a thing. The only method to avoid darkness is to seek light. Jesus said (John 11:9-10)

A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light."

However, darkness is intoxicating. Once a person gets used to darkness, he falls in the trap of evil. He seldom seeks light and prefers darkness where all his evil deeds can be hidden. In the words of Jesus Christ (John 2: 19-21)

Light has come to this world, but men loved darkness, instead of light, because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come to the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by truth comes to the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

God is thus synonymous to light and truth. A man without the light can never come out of darkness. However, just like a small candle can lighten a big room, so a man of light can illuminate millions of dark hearts. An ancient story explains this truth.

Many thousands years back, there was a bandit in a jungle who used to loot the passengers passing through the jungle. Once, few saints were passing through the jungle when the bandit stopped them and asked them to surrender whatever possession they had. A saint asked the bandit, "Why is doing this? Don't you know it is sin to loot other's wealth?"

"I am dong it for my family. I feed them with all I get from this act." the bandit replied.

"But you are making a big mistake. Since you are doing the act of looting, you have to carry all the burden of sin. Your family may be sharing the loot, but will they also share your sin?" asked the saint.

"Surely they will. When they share the loot, why shall they not share the sin." replied the bandit confidently.

"Please go and ask your family members, if they are willing to share your sin. If they are willing, please take all we have." The saint told the bandit.

The bandit went to his home and asked each member of his family, if they were willing to share his sin. However all members replied that since he was committing the sins, only he must take the responsibility. They showed their unwillingness to share his sin.

The bandit realized his mistake and came back to the saints. He felled on their feet and sought their forgiveness. "Only God can forgive you. Please go and prey to God and He will forgive you and give you light" said the saint.

The bandit preyed for many years and sought light from the God. He got enlightenment and later wrote the most famous epic scripture Ramayana (The story of Rama, the God) and respected as one of the greatest saint of India even today.

The transformation of the man is much easier than imagines as goodness is always present in him. With little light, a evil man can transform himself into an angel. Upanishads said that each man is the replica of the Universe (I am the Universe). He has everything what is there in this world. So every man has evil and good in him. All it needs is a desire to remove darkness and a spark of light. Once the desire is born, Lord provides the light for the enlightenment. However, often the men needed some sort of shock or trigger to realize themselves.

Tusidas was just an ordinary man who was in deep love of his wife. He could not bear the separation from his wife, when she went to her parent's home. Unable to control his lust, he entered into her house surreptitiously in night. When, he met her wife, she sarcastically said, "If you would have loved God in the same way, you would have got Him." Tulsidas felt humiliated and ashamed on himself. He left her house and started preying God for light. Finally he got enlightenment and became one of the gretest saint and poet of India. He wrote Ramcharitmans and many other epic poems which made him the most famous poet in India.

The search of Light

Light has a peculiar properly. It is always hidden in dark substances. A match stick has no light, unless it is scratched on the match-box. All combustible fuels are dark and needs ignition to produce light. Yet it is also a fact that every substance contains light, which is visible when it is burned.

Man himself is the greatest source of light. Yet the light lies dormant in him till it is ignited. Often, he seeks light only when he stumbles in the darkness. Then, he hates the untruth in him and the light is automatically born in him. In Gita (IV 7-8) Lord Krishna says

"Whenever the Truth declines and the Untruth prevail, I (God) take birth in different forms to save the good and destroy the evil for establishing the righteousness in this world".

Thus, only by invoking faith in God, one can receive light as God alone is light. However, we often think, that we can find the light even without God's help i.e. by the study of the scripture or the books.

Scientists deny the existence of God and the soul. Hence they believe that all evils in this world can be eliminated by logic and reasoning with the individual i.e. by influencing the mind. It is argued that people would leave the path of evil or destruction by reasoning and proper guidance. However, it is well known that the people who follow the evil path (like crime or addiction) have no dearth of knowledge. Yet, it is surprising that they find it difficult to convince their mind to follow the right path.

This mystery is unveiled in Gita. Gita (III 42-43) explains the relationship of body, senses, mind, Individual Intelligence (Soul) and the Universal Intelligence (God) in the following words.

The senses are superior to the body. Above the senses is the mind, above the mind is the soul (individual intelligence) and above the soul is God (Universal Intelligence). Thus realizing God to be superior to intelligence, control the body by the soul and destroy lust, the eternal enemy of man.

Thus the mind can never be controlled by logic as it always find logic for doing the action that it desires. A thief has many reasons to steal, a murderer has many reasons to kill and a drug addict find full justification in his acts. Smoking and Alcoholism are taking epidemic proportion despite of the awareness created by the media and the governments all over the world. It is so because the mind is controlled by the intelligence of the person. Mind knows both type of logic (for and against) of any action but it is the "intelligence" that determines which logic would be selected by the person. However, intelligence can't be changed by the reasoning of mind but only by faith in God or Spiritual force. However, once a man gets the spark of light, the entire darkness inside is vanished and the person is transformed from evil to good.

Faith is the foundation for Light

A man without faith often finds it difficult to relate himself with the world. Logic is quite ephemeral as it changes with time and situation. A man without faith is soon immersed into darkness and losses the sense of right and wrong, good and evil, truth and untruth. Many great people turned from good to evil as they lost light. The list includes the historical personalities like Stalin, Mao and Hitler who had every justification for all their acts and they wanted to make the world based on their logic. They all lost direction as they lost faith in God.

Hence in the end, their acts were not adjudged as good but as evil by their own people whose sake they did all the evil. The story of painter may be imaginary but the message in it is quite real. Just like it takes no effort in falling from a height to a gutter, similarly no effort is required in falling from good to evil, or from light to darkness. Yet it requires considerable effort to create light and to perform good deeds. One needs to therefore constantly desire and prey for light which can come only from inside by faith which enables the soul of man to be guided by the Universal Soul or God.

Serve God And Get Rich - How To Achieve Abundance

By Vern How Chan

"He will pour out money upon you like you have never even imagined"

One speaker whom I greatly look up to both as a mentor and a Christian business leader says this many times over in the room. Yet it was utter disbelief when I pondered upon this phrase. How can God even bless me if I'm not smart, rich or talented?

When we start to serve God (as in both church or perhaps in the marketplace), we are not guaranteed success overnight. Nor even when you return home you will find stockpiles of cash in your basement.

Now don't get me wrong, abundance can still be achieved in your financial statement. You just need to apply certain principles in your life on a daily basis. Make it hourly if you will we have such short term mental strength sometimes.

Principle 1: Getting To Know Yourself And God's Plan

Practically, we are people of little faith and often times it takes more than just prayer to get us up to a good feeling. However, Christmas is just over and this is what you can learn from one of the Christmas carol songs.

"peace on earth"

Yes, this is the thing that we can bring closer to home. There will be no peace on earth unless there is peace in nations. There will be no peace on earth unless there is peace in communities. There is no peace on earth unless there is peace in individuals.

Believe me, it is ultimately your inner peace that will make you sensitive to God's plan for your life.

Principle 2: Avoiding Fake "Mentors"

Here is a very sad fact. Everyone you will eventually meet along your journey to financial freedom as a Christian you will also notice that quite a few will have the same faith as yours.

Please exercise caution in developing the relationship because they may speak to you by using words like, "trust the Father" or something like that. In reality they do not know the Bible at all and they do not have a relationship with God.

Its close to leading a budding person like you astray. Mentors can either make or break a person and I'd strongly advise you to follow your "spiritual antenna" to sniff out fake mentors.

Principle 3: For Unless You Throw In Your Hand, The Ultimate Harvest Is Assured

I'm not kidding. This passage is practically taken from the Holy Bible. If you believe in success then you must also believe in not giving up. Keep up the fire and the fight.

Your reward is near because of your character of gold. Pure gold can only be attained after going through the searing heat of fire. Imagine your life will be like gold and life is a pit of fire that you must endure.

Therefore, if you are a Christian and you want to serve God and get rich remember that you will. You just need to work at it and never give up. Most of all hold on to the promises that the scriptures have written about you and your future with God.

Top 20 Reasons Why Pastors Should Write Articles

By M. Christopher Wilson, Sr

One of the greatest tools that has been used from the very beginning of time and is still available to all of us is the craft of writing. Before TV, radio, internet and ipods our entertainment and enjoyment was found on pages and pages of great manuscripts.

I know that we are in the computer age, but writing is still one of the greatest means of expressing and expanding our thoughts and ideas so that others can be taught, instructed and enlighten. It doesn't matter if you prefer pen and paper, blackberries, palm pilots or laptops; writing is the birth canal for ideas that would other wise remain aloof dreams.

I want to give you the "Top 20 Reasons" why I believe that every pastor and minister should consider writing. I'm not asking you to start out by writing a 200 page book; that will come! I just want you to start getting your feet wet by writing 700 to 1000 word articles. I know it may sound hard, but the key is to write about subjects that you are interested in! When you really set your mind to write thoughts expand as you stretch the creative potential of your cognitive thinking.

In giving you my "Top 20 Reasons Why Pastors Should Write Articles" I will also give you a tip I have used to write hundreds of articles over the years. It is very simple, just find a subject that you're interested in and make a list! This list may be 10, 20 or 100 things related to your topic of interest. Believe me; if you're really interested in a subject you will not have any problem making a list of at least 10 subtopics (could expand into 10 separate small articles). You then use this list like and outline to begin the writing process.

Do I have to be a great speller? Do I have to use $100 words? Do I have to have a perfect understanding of grammar? The answer to any of the questions that people use not to write is NO! I'm not a great speller at all!!!! I still make many mistakes. However, I'm not willing to allow that to be a reason for me to stop doing what I love; writing! The more you write the more you will want to write and the better you will get!

OK, here we go.

You should write articles because no one can say it like you do!

Article writing helps you to expand your thoughts and ideas from intangible to three-dimensional.

Article writing stimulates new ideas and thoughts for sermons.

Articles uploaded to the internet can allow you to minister to people you will never meet who may not be willing to listen to a ministry audio or DVD.

You should write articles because you can use a collection of related topics to create training manuals or devotionals.

You should write articles because you can use a collection of related topics as the ground work for future books.

You should write articles because everyone is not willing to read entire books.

Article writing can brand you as an expert on particular topics.

Article writing will cause you to be a more prolific speaker.

Article writing has the capacity to give your presentations and sermons more content.

You should write articles because the study and preparation will broaden the area of your expertise on a given subject.

Article writing helps you develop another tool for not only casting but also expanding your ministry vision.

Article writing causes you to be more articulate when it comes to verbally casting your ministry vision.

Article writing causes you to be more likely to act on your own thoughts and ideas that will lead you to success.

Some people are motivated by visional and not audible information.

Articles solidify your thoughts for the next generation.

Articles are easily and inexpensively reproduced and can be given away during your speaking engagements; with information about your ministry and website.

A collection of related articles can be used as a manuscript for a great audio program that can be produced and burned to CD right from your home computer.

Online articles have the potential of taking your teaching to tens of thousands of people.

Online articles are great drawing cards that will influence people to come and return to your ministry website.

Make a list of 5 topics that you're familiar with.

Decide which topic you're most interested in.

Rank your topics from 1 to 5 with 1 being most interested.

Over the next few days brainstorm and write 10 subtopics for each main topic.

You now have an outline for at least 30 or more articles.

So what are you waiting for! Get started! Hey, tell another pastor about this article! Thanks!

One Strong Man Deals With Men Who Are So Weak Frail Fragile And Vulnerable

By Sandy Shaw

Having ridden down the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, on a donkey, to fulfil a 500-year-old prophecy, Jesus Christ entered the city. The detail is so precise and accurate.

Was the Saviour of the world about to save his people politically, and deal with the rule of Rome? No.

To the right of that gate in the city wall lay the Antonio fortress, the headquarters of the Roman authorities. Jesus did not turn right. He turned left approaching the Temple, which resembled a market place, and He overturned the tables of merchants and moneychangers. That entire environment was shaken and disturbed by the presence of Jesus Christ.

The Temple was intended to be a place of prayer and worship for all nations and peoples. It had become a den of thieves.

Travelling to Jerusalem was dangerous. You ran the risk of being attacked and robbed as gangs emerged from wilderness caves. When you reached the Temple, you should have been safe, but people were being financially mugged and done, in the place appointed for prayer.

Jesus Christ drove out everything that ought never to have been in the church of that day. Strong stuff! Strong man, this Jesus!

Here is righteous love, displaying sinless anger at the misuse of what God had given to help men be holy. When Jesus confronted sin he was not soft or compromising.

Who would dare approach Jesus Christ in this frame of mind? That was never a problem. The blind and the lame came to him and he healed them.

The same hands that drove out what should never have been permitted, then touched eyes and limbs for healing. Children continued to shout 'Hosanna' - 'save us now' - as broken bodies were being repaired - and His critics were indignant at what he was doing.

This was a day of remarkable emotions. Life is fragile.

An unexpected wave travels across the oceans and thousands suddenly die. A bullet is fired and a life is over. Disease can strike and what we planned to do can no longer be done. A car is involved in a collision and someone is killed.

God teaches us that we appear like a mist or a vapour. We are seen for a brief season and then we vanish. Watch the steam from your kettle the next time it boils and time how long it lasts. That is how God describes our life in this world.

None of us knows how long we have to live - a few years, months, days, hours.

It is highly significant that the words used in connection with this tsunami are very similar to the description of what happened during The Flood when Noah built that ark or floating chest.

There was an underwater earthquake. The springs of the great deep burst forth. Life was very fragile on that day too.

Of course, then, there was more than a wave. The water vapour canopy, which had encircled the earth since Creation, collapsed, but the wordings are similar, as are the consequences.

Don't question The Flood.

Faith, by contrast, is the opposite. Faith is certainly not fragile. Faith enables man to come through the most challenging circumstances.

Noah had faith and when God explained to him what was about to happen he exercised his solid substantial faith and built an ark. His faith helped him persist until he had accomplished his God-given task.

People with faith still know that life is fragile, but there is a remarkable inner strength which is difficult to explain.

It is better experienced than explained.

A New Year Prayer

Author: Ernie Fitzpatrick

Could there be any more important prayer than one which asks that all humanity comes to the realization of what the Cross stands for: not seeking that everyone embraces Christianity (Christian triumphalism), but that everyone comes to the realization that the "cross proves everything" (Crux probat omnia)! Regardless of the religion that one follows, or for that matter, for those who think they have no religious beliefs (atheists), may we see the deeper meaning of why and how Jesus became the Christ.

Allow me to be specific in offering these seven prayers for all of mankind! Jesus did die for our sins, but in a much deeper WAY than religion has codified and taught; and the sins are not the ones that the church seems fixated on, nor the sin management approaches that it has taken for thousands of years! God loves the whole world- ALL!

1-May we come to the experiential realization that Jesus takes away the sins of the world NOT by fulfilling some purity code demanded by God, but by exposing that the real sin of the world is attacking and killing others whom God created.

2-May we realize that the egoic lifestyle of flight or fight is NOT what Jesus exemplified by His death on the Cross, but fusion (being ONE with the Father, Creator, God, Consciousness).

3-May we come to see that it's NOT the bad man that's in us all that must die on the Cross, but the good man (the false self) so that the God man can come forth!

4-May we understand that the identity of Jesus was NOT enough, but that even He had to be transformed into the "Christ" as we all must.

5-May we get deep within our soul that Jesus did NOT come as a legal necessity to change the mind of God about mankind, but Jesus came to change our mind about God!

6-May we get past the dominative and violent redemptive theories of Jesus needing to die on the Cross which are NOT what Jesus communicated unto us, but a demonstration of the love of and for God. If God used violence (the bloody and torturous death of Jesus on the Cross), then we're justified in doing so as well- from parenting, to capital punishment, to wars.

7-The life of Jesus and the Cross is NOT about God needing to solve a cosmic problem with an unforgiving death of His Son, but a personal surrender to a love that no longer projects blame and wounding, but absorbs it and transforms hate into love.

I have many more prayers for our community, nation, and world, but I hope you'll meditate on those seven as you enter the new year and may we ALL thought seeing and seeking the truth (not religious) find 2008 to be the most illuminative and spiritually unifying year of all! We are not separated from anyone">, not God!

Where Is Baby Jesus Now?

By Sandy Shaw

It is an important question because many people are unaware of the answer.

Cribs and mangers with Joseph and Mary in Bethlehem, can be commonplace at this December time of year, but where is baby Jesus now?

Come on. What is your answer?

Jesus is no longer a baby, lying helpless, unable to speak challengingly. The unchallenging child did not remain unchallenging. Is this why so many like to consider Him in the manger? He does not speak and He was not yet able to challenge. No longer is He vulnerable and verbally silent. Jesus was a baby for the same time as any other child remains a baby.

He grew into a Man, and was anointed with the Holy Spirit following His being baptised in water in the Jordan River. When He was thirty years old He started preaching, teaching and training men to follow Him. Because of the stirring content of His message and who He claimed to be, He was killed in Jerusalem. Men would not allow Him to live. God would not allow Him to remain dead.

Jesus was raised from the dead after three days, meeting with His disciples over the next forty days, before ascending to the right hand of His Heavenly Father.

The risen living Jesus still calls men and women to follow Him. He gives them new life. He baptises them in the Holy Spirit, and guides and leads all who ask for direction.

He intercedes, or prays, for those who serve Him. Jesus Christ has ascended having completed the task God the Father sent Him to do, and He is now seated at the Father's right hand, with one mightily major role as yet to be fulfilled. If you are an obedient disciple of Jesus, know that He is praying for you. He is the only mediator there is between man and God.

Jesus forgives people who come to Him in repentance, confessing their sins. He, and He alone, has that ability to forgive men their sins and wash people clean, because of the sacrificial blood He shed on the Cross.

Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for His people, and He is coming back to this world!

Are you ready to meet Him?

All this is so very different from what some people tend to focus upon at what is called "Christmas".

Of course, we know Jesus was not born in December, but during the Feast of Tabernacles which is around the end of September or beginning of October.

Make sure you know where Jesus Christ is now and also be fully aware of the next great spiritual even on God's calendar. When Jesus returns His time will be perfect. He will not be a moment too early nor a moment too late.

My former Professor of Theology who died only a few weeks ago used to reinforce the essential truth that we must never separate the Incarnation from the Ascension. In other words - do not keep one part of the life and ministry Jesus Christ apart from any of the other vital areas. It is dangerous and can be deceptive to compartmentalize!

These are matters we need to know and to know with certainty and assurance.

Daniels 70th Week

by Gerry Legister

The first of the seven seals is broken early in the 70th week of Daniel, after the true church had not long disappeared from public view, creating stupendous amount of curiosity, heightened media coverage will be interested in finding out the churches retreated destiny, much speculation will give rise to spiritualism frenzy, calling upon deceptive UFO sightings to attract unbelievable mystery seeking interest, inquisitive minds hoping to solve Atlantis continental drift from the pages of history, articulately piecing together the asteroid puzzle, and finding the answers to pyramids perfection, the rapture will have become abundantly clear to those who were double minded, their equilibrium will have also cascaded into guilty rejection. Daniels 70th week is an important key to understanding bible prophecies, it is the final seven years of this age, plus another thirty days reaching beyond the 1290 days spoken of by Gabriel, after this 70th week is completed, then comes the final day when the reality of all things will be fulfilled, this awesome day of accounting will be the day of earths reckoning, when the title deed of redemption is fully revealed, the heavens will open immaculately, and judgment day will have arrived, the seven arch angels of Gods wrath will descend upon the wicked, with hideous punishment to clothe humanity in derelict unrestrained horror stricken terror. Undoubtedly, there will be incredible global disaster warnings, issued by ministering spirits from all corners of the globe, never before in the history of humankind will earth witness such blatant devastation, all humanity living upon earth will feel the global impact of the severest wrath of Almighty God, Their cry pours gently on as the never ending expression of sorrow makes further demands. It will be the curliest moments where reality lapse into sinking disappointments destroying happiness and hopes leaving dreams relinquishing to a far retreat, The Apocalypse is the definitive picture of the Judgment of the Lamb as viewed from the winepress of His Wrath. According to (2Thessalonian 2:2-4) The restraining angels who are holding back the awful wicked tide along with the habitation of the church, will be taken out of the way, allowing the abomination to make desecration, evil forces and tormenting demonic spirits will triumphantly emerge from the abyss to walk freely among citizens, and eventually to possess the false Christ, and give him by deception an almost unchallenged platform for world dominance. Daniels 70th week is a fulfillment of the prophecy given in Daniel 9:24 where it states that seventy weeks are determine upon the people of Israel, during which time they were to accomplish many important spiritual developments, which would include finishing their transgression, the 70th week is the final seven years in which God will pour out his wrath upon the ungodly and rescue his chosen people, it will be a time of unprecedented difficulty, that can not be compare to any other time in human history, Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate. Daniel 9:27. Seventy weeks have been fixed for your people and your holy town, to let wrongdoing be complete and sin come to its full limit, and for the clearing away of evil-doing and the coming in of eternal righteousness: so that the vision and the word of the prophet may be stamped as true, and to put the holy oil on a most holy place. Daniel 9:24. The prophet Daniel predicts the confirmation of a seven year economic covenant peace treaty involving the land of Israel. The covenant people of God will make covenant with a prince who initially operates in the role of a global good commander. All eyes will be on the middle east, especially Jordon and Jerusalem religious areas will become the hob of consuming operation, earths angelic prisoners will be release from darkness back into society, each day will become the focus of intense tangible paranormal activity and substance trafficking, from east to west, coast to coast, every city, every town however remote will feel the effect, mystery Babylon will roll out the carpet to entertain special guests, on face value all will seemed to be going well, but it will not be long before mankind's heart begins to fail them. 'And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." Rev 14:8 Sorrow will flow as high as the horses bridle, the hour of Gods judgment is come, more easily understood to be the hour of temptation, large sums of money will be touted and secretly paid for reliable information leading to the discovery of the sudden disappearance of popular key figures in society, the infrastructure of policing bodies will come under investigation, the working public daily concern edgy look will be the topic of every conversation, moral decay will set the motions turning with diabolical legislation and world leaders will become impatient to find swift resolution to inept policies and worthless treaties, their project implementation will harness humanism as the answer to society's problem. This will indeed be an unfriendly world in which Christians will be strangers and pilgrims. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs Rev 14:20

Local Church Serves The Los Angeles Community And Government

By Matthew Paolini

St Patrick's Catholic Church is a noted place of worship in Los Angeles, CA. It is located just east of downtown L.A. and is one of the oldest parishes in Los Angeles, having been established in 1903. The parish has served a plethora of communities over its more than hundred years. St. Patrick's has always welcomed immigrants, starting with Irish and Germans in the 1900s, African-Americans in the 1920s and 1930s, Mexican-Americans in the 1950s and currently Central Americans since the 1980s.

The founding church structure was damaged and rebuilt after a 1933 earthquake destroyed the famous towers. A second earthquake in 1971 completely destroyed the church. The parishioners, unable to afford the cost of reconstructing, had been attending service in the converted parish hall for the last thirty-five years. With an typical attendance of more than 600 but a maximum capacity of only 400, many worshipers were forced to wait outside the door to the parish hall to attend Mass.

Through the inspiration of Bishop Stephen Blaire and others, the idea was hatched of building a church for the parish with the assistance of all the nearby parishes and donors within Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region. Under the leadership of Bishop Edward William Clark, the construction of the church commenced in April 2005 and was completed in December 2006. Dedication of the new church was held March 17.

It had quite some time since the St. Patrick Parish had a permanent church. Over one thousand worshipers are now able to celebrate Mass in the new St. Patrick's. This more than doubles the previous capacity of the worship space in the parish hall. The unique funding campaign to build the new church involved contributions from the seventy-seven parishes within the Our Lady of the Angels regions, in addition to contributions from individual donors and foundations.

According to parish statistics, the number of known households is about 1,500, with regularly-attending parishioners: at more than 5,000. Annually, over 450 baptisms are performed in the church. The number of students in weekly religious education classes is more than 700.

The Calliome--claiming The Good In Your Garden

When you receive the Seal you can bear the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You can bear the fruit of the knowledge of good, producing fruit God considers good with the calliome.

When you are sealed God plants a little garden in you. God created the world and everything surrounding it in seven days. He created the sun and moon and nearby stars and planets with it.

On the seventh day God rested. But on the fifth day God created people. He breathed the Breath of Life into Adam after He shaped him out of the earth. That shaping him out of the earth is just how you are sealed.

When you are sealed you are stamped with the shape of the earth. Not the whole earth but a tiny piece of ground, just enough to grow one single wheat Seed.

That wheat Seed is Jesus Christ and you are that ground ready to grow Him. In the beginning there are just the two of you--earth and Seed. Later He will multiply until there are many messages and believers.

First Jesus is a Message. He grows in your soul as the Message. When this comes to maturity the fruit it bears are many more seeds which can be planted. At this first growth your garden also grows in size.

Your garden can grow until it is much bigger, eventually spanning the entire earth! And when it grows enough it will be big enough to grow some of the legendary trees of the Garden of Eden.

There was the Tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. You will be able to grow both trees when you are sealed. And you will not be cursed for tasting the Forbidden Fruit.

Adam and Eve fell by tasting the Forbidden Fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But you will be able to bear fruit of this tree without risking the curse that is punishment for doing what is forbidden.

How will you do this? When you become sealed you will grow closer to God. So close that you will share thoughts and feelings with Him. While you talk like this, you will begin to know what He thinks and feels.

When you know how God thinks and feels, and how He responds to your own thoughts and feelings, then you will know what He considers good and evil. You will know His Decisions and Judgments about the world.

And sometimes you could be wrong. It is human to make mistakes. But you will be right often enough to make you a prophet. You will be able to pronounce the Judgments of God in the world.

Of course you must remain close to God. But when you do, and know His Judgments, you will be able to bear the fruit of what He considers good, by the calliome.

The calliome is fruit growing out of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is fruit God considers good. And you grow it by knowing what He likes, so you can cut off the less preferable fruit and cultivate the calliome you know He likes.

When you are sealed you will know what God does and does not like, as far as He will reveal it to you. And you will be able to bear the fruit He likes, the good fruit, by the calliome when you receive the Seal.

Faith & Segregation - The Future of America's Churches

By Daryl Green

Kids practice for the annual Christmas program at a local daycare. A weary teacher breaks up an argument of two four-year-old girls. "You can't be Mary. She's white," explains one youngster. The other girl counters, "Yes, I can. Daddy said Jesus was black." The two girls then look up to their teacher for an answer. She is silent.

The Problem

In America, Sunday morning has been declared the most segregated time of the week. Many people see the current church a heavenly multi-ethnic representation. I don't yet. Across our nation, churches are segregated. Some justify this status quo by noting we have a few blacks in our church. Others argue it's insignificant to the overall big picture. I asked my pastor Richard S. Brown of Payne Avenue Baptist Church. He explains, "I have lots of white pastor friends. We are working on some things together. I think this matter is a larger social problem. The same guy who sings next to me in workshop service at church will not speak to me once we're out of service." We must not forget that the government forced integration of schools and public outlets. Churches were spared. If multiracial team in athletics can work toward a common goal, why can't America's churches? Let's explore this phenomenon with an open perspective.

The Reality of Today's Churches

Over 90% of churches nationally remain segregated. That equates to over 300,000 congregations that remain segregated. Multiracial churches comprise only 5-8% of America's congregations. Multiracial churches in this context mean no single racial group comprises more than 80% of the congregation. Racial divides started as a result of denominational splits over slavery, wounds that never healed between Northern and Southern Baptists. Most churches subscribe to the Homogeneous Unit Principle, which suggests that individuals join Christianity from their own cultural perspective. Michael Emerson and Christian Smith, authors of Divided by Faith, argue that some evangelical principles actually promote racism. They explain, "A racialized society is a society wherein race matters profoundly for differences and life experiences." Therefore, blacks found comfort in predominately black churches where they are shielded from prejudices and allowed to control their own religious experience.

The Encounter

Currently, separated churches rarely engage each other. Lindy Apon, pastor of the Parkway Baptist Church (www.parkwaybaptist.us), explains that churches should be focused on Kingdom building. He explains, "I think we may be asking the wrong questions. It may not matter to God." Todd Stewart, pastor of Mosaic Church (www.mosaicknoxville.com), got his multicultural vision of God's Kingdom. It sent him to the inner city, not the suburbs. He finds himself building a multiracial church in a non-inclusive, religious environment. Stewart explains, "It's been tough [launching his multiracial church]. Because my family moved around a lot and I was an athlete, I have always been accustomed to a diverse group." Stewart sees his multicultural focus as a divine mandate. He notes, "We cannot decide who comes to our church. However, we can decide who is in leadership." In fact, his church has a multiracial leadership model. Stewart works with both black and white churches. This isn't the norm for most local pastors.

The Answer

Can today's churches obtain racial reconciliation? I'm not sure. The authors of United by Faith argue that without an apology for past deeds it's virtually impossible for racial integration and the fulfillment of God's purpose for the church. Some progress is needed. Some steps to bridge racial divides include exchanging church officers, conducting joint evangelic projects, and conducting meaningful dialogue with other racial churches. However, praying together may be the ultimate solution instead of living together according to a University of North Texas study. America's churches will face more demographic shifts in the future. Will they be more inclusive? Only time will tell. Let us pray that it will happen soon.

Is Faith In God Of Any Value?

By Hannah Henderson

In Ecclesiastes 9.11-12, king Solomon wrote that, "...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

When Solomon speaks of "time" happening to all, he is simply referring to the "power" of being in the right or wrong place at the right or wrong time. Even amidst the motivational teachings is this depressing truth has to be confronted. Notice that encouragement usually comes in the form of "Shoot for the moon, and even if you miss, you'll be among the stars."

If everyone is touched by fate, destiny, chance and time, what then is the advantage of faith in Christ? The advantage and comfort of placing one's faith in Christ is that although believers are sometimes touched by chance and time, God always has the backs of His servants covered. The Bible speaks of God placing a fence, often known as a "hedge" in the Bible, around those that serve Him (KJV, Job 1.9-10).

Christians must remember that the servants of God of whom they read in the Bible, were real men and women who faced the same tribulations, had the same aspirations for happiness, and asked the same questions as today's believers. The account of events in their lives are written for an example and to illustrate just how God's word looks in action so it may be more easily comprehended.

In the scripture of Mark 4.36-41, its written that, "when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow. And they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

What does the above account have to do with chance? Much, in many ways. First, the Christian seaman and fisherman is just as vulnerable to the chance of being caught in the fury of a storm at sea as the non-Christian. Although today man has the aid of weather tracking equipment, its a fact that furious storms can and do suddenly and unexpectedly arise in the ocean. This is especially seen in areas such as the Bermuda Triangle. Although the Triangle is no longer considered an unsolved mystery by many, its worth mentioning because one of the principle reasons its not deemed a mystery anymore is because its not the only area where ships and their crews vanish, never to be seen again. This is a reminder that not even the modern, sophisticated storm tracking devices can guarantee safe seafaring. However, even if God doesn't forewarn His people before they set sail, unlike the unbeliever, the believer is assured that unless he is in direct disobedience in setting sail, should the chance of a storm come upon him, he will be in the storm with Christ. Jesus told His followers, "...I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28.20). What is the believer's advantage to having Jesus with him? Again, it may be the difference between life and death because the Lord that allows chance to work, also has authority over it as Jesus demonstrates in commanding the storm to cease. Furthermore, He chastised His followers for being afraid which showed they were not using any sort of logic that would have been there through their faith in Him. They were in the boat with the Lord Himself, if nothing else, faith would have compelled them to grab hold of the sleeping Jesus, whom the storm couldn't take under to destroy. Faith would have assured them that If He can't go under, neither can they if they are clinging to Him.

There is also the example of Abraham and Hannah, two of God's servants. Abraham and his wife Sarah wanted a son. Hannah and her husband also wanted a son. Just as in modern times, there are those who are sterile who will not give birth no matter how positive they think, how hard they strive, or how determined they are. Abraham and Sarah attempted different methods, and they all failed. It required God's direct intervention, blessing, and answer to the prayer of faith. Again, the believers and the unbelievers are separated. The unbeliever, after he has done all in his might to do, has no more recourse, but the believer has God, for whom nothing is impossible (KJV, Luke 18.27) and to whom its delightful to give good gifts to His sometimes very helpless children (KJV, Luke 11.13). God blessed Abraham and his wife, and Hannah and her husband with a son.

Although the focus has been on survival and success in life in this present world, man is always reminded that death is approaching. Unfortunately, death may approach suddenly and unexpectedly according to the scripture of Ecclesiastes 9.12 which says that, "...man also knoweth not his time, as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them."

There are both biblical and modern examples of such a truth. The lives of scores of men are suddenly and unexpectedly taken in natural disaster, accidents, and acts of violence and terrorism such as the tragedy that occurred on 9/11. There were miraculous stories of survival. Nevertheless, there's no reason to believe that there were no servants of God among the dead. How is their sudden death any different from the sudden death of the one who does not have his faith and eternal hope in God? In a more subtle way, a similar question was put to Jesus, ironically, in reference to the destruction and collapse of a tower that fell on people and killed them. In the passage of Luke 13.1-5, its recorded that, "there were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaens whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. (Pilate had people killed while they were performing their religious animal sacrifices.) And Jesus answering, said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaens were sinners above all the Galilaens, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay (no), but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew (killed) them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay, but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Jesus could not be any plainer in His admonishment to face the harsh reality of this world that bad things happen, and not only to sinners. His point and command to all is to come to repentance because even if He does not stop the hand of fate, allowing even His servants to pass into death, their backs are covered because He will resurrect them to eternal life. The one whose faith is not in Jesus, may not have time to get out the prayer of repentance and here is where chance and fate can send him into eternal doom because it is written that, "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

To have faith in God is to be covered by Him on all sides for all time in life and in death from whose grip the believer in Christ awaits freedom in the resurrection to eternal life. King Solomon was the wisest man to inhabit the Earth, until the birth of the God-man, Christ Jesus. In Ecclesiastes 12.13 he writes, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man."

Behavioral Change For Self Improvement - From A Catholic Perspective

By Abhishek Agarwal

The Catholic Church promotes persistent longing for that which is considered moral and holy. This is apparently directed towards the objective of self-improvement. Now, Catholics are always called upon to aspire for what the Almighty in the very beginning planned for humans to turn into.

The world is without a doubt, beset with enticements to commit transgressions. Every type of wrongdoing perpetrated, is a departure from the original purpose of the Lord for human beings. This furnishes a greater justification for people to peruse the Holy Bible on a regular basis, in order that the Lord's words will serve as their armor from Satan's misleading ways.

Reciting the Lord's words not only helps keep enticements at bay, it additionally makes known the manner in which God desires His people to conduct themselves. The different characters in the Holy Scripture plainly show the people in whose footsteps one must follow due to their steadfastness to God's will.

In addition, the Holy Scripture plus the Catholic Church stress that the decisive role model is Jesus Christ since every single one of His words and deeds was wholly rooted in what God desired. Therefore, any endeavor towards self-improvement and behavioral change must draw its motivation from Jesus Christ.

Besides, Catholics have faith in the supremacy of mercy. This is considered to have a significant influence, not merely on an individual level, but also on a relational plus communal level. A person discovers serenity inside when he pardons and grows to be calm with God as well as with others. When one is at peace mentally and spiritually, it is quite easy to produce that which is fine in oneself, and develop.

In contrast, when one transgresses and does not repent, bitterness and remorse linger in him, which detrimentally influence all facets of his life. Mercy is similarly thought to be the initial step towards approval and adoration of oneself. Now, these two are extremely significant in self-improvement. A person cannot wish to improve or understand what to make better if he is unable to acknowledge who he actually is at that point of time. It requires a lot of humbleness to be capable of starting with the objective of modifying some ways and growing to be a better person.

Undoubtedly, mercy functions in two ways. Mercy helps the person being pardoned in addition to the person being merciful. Hatred and remorse in both the concerned parties are discharged which then leads to additional development of the self. In case one broods over his rage at someone else, he, in all likelihood will not have sufficient time to think about himself and discern the extent to which he can still develop into a better person. Prospects for the improvement of one's self are simply squandered.

As far as Catholics are concerned, prayer is an excellent means of seeking direction with regard to the right way to conduct oneself and in keeping with God's will. Enticements to go off course may certainly be immense but with regular contact with God, one can at no time fail, come what may.

In addition, devoting a life in God's service is also a wonderful way to develop as God's child. For sure, this kind of life constitutes an enhanced life since all deeds are for the greater glory of God.

Self-improvement in no way calls for changing one's religion. Besides, it is not the sole prerogative of any particular individual. It is an opportunity for people coming from different backgrounds.

The one single thing that people should commit to memory always is that they need to live in line with their Maker's words. With such direction, it is just not possible for anyone to stray.

Mr Night - The Baptist Minister - Part 4

By Charles Crosby

OK, I'll get straight to it and here is his reply to my reply as copied in part three.

"I have already found your ezine articles and your website. So I was right - your enquiry was not genuine."

The judging continues with him accusing me of not being genuine in my enquiry. Just because I expose the errors of mainstream Christianity doesn't mean I was not genuine when I inquired of him about being baptised in the Lord Jesus Christ's name alone. I would put it to you that all I have done is shaken his sandy religious foundation with my enquiry.

"You appear to write off anyone who does not hold your opinion. I'm disappointed that you demand repentance of me - I do that to God rather than to you."

Now we have two more examples of his spiritual blindness and delusional thinking. He states that I write people off who don't hold my opinion. This immediately tells us he thinks that Christians hold opinions when The Truth, is not an opinion. Real Christians do not hold an opinion - The Truth is The Truth, it's not an opinion and can never be an opinion - only men have opinions. When 'Christians' use the 'opinion' card or the 'claim' card they are telling us one thing and one thing only; they are Bible Intellectuals and not Christians; men of the Christian Religion yes, but not Christians. He then thinks I am demanding repentance of him. It's not me that's demanding repentance but, rather, The Father; all I am doing is looking for signs of his repentance but, alas, cannot see any nor can I find any, only a high and mighty argumentative superior attitude.

"I have not disputed your reading of 1 John 5. I do question your 'spurious' allegation to Mt 28:19 - there is no evidence for this in any major Greek text to my knowledge."

Here we can see, again, that he cannot make the link between the spurious verses of 1John 5:7-8 and Matthew 28:19. He belatedly and half-heartedly admits 1 John 5:7-8 is false and yet at the same time states Matthew 28:19 is not false. By his own admission, how can the trinity be wrong in one passage of the Bible and then be right in another passage? Where is the consistency in this line of thinking? Either the trinity is valid or it's invalid; either it's a fabrication or it's not a fabrication. Either the Holy Scriptures have been tampered with and corrupted or they have not been tampered with and corrupted, you cannot have it both ways and we cannot ignore the precedent for a precedent has most definitely been set here.

If we have evidence that The Holy Word of God has been contaminated once, by sons of the Devil, then a further one hundred and one times is not beyond the realms of possibility - to put it mildly!! As I stated in a previous article; during the reign of the Roman Emperor Diocletian 235 - 284 AD he destroyed nearly all the earliest original writings of the New Testament whether in Aramaic or Greek, whilst at the same time persecuting the Church. When Jerome's Latin Vulgate Bible, circa 390 AD, was produced they used only the fragments of what was left of the original Greek. It was here, at this moment in time, that The Holy Word of God was contaminated by these Devilish men of the Christian Religion. We also have to realise that our Mr Night is a modern day representation of one of these same Christian Religious men. In a sense he can't help it because he has been indoctrinated and himself contaminated by this religious version of the gospel - a non-gospel and it is this non-gospel that is taught in most Bible colleges and other centres of religious education.

To prove that what I am saying is correct he then states:

"I have NEVER believed in religion and minister to ensure others don't either. I believe Jesus Christ is the truth and follow Him whole-heartedly so why do you deny I am your brother in Christ? What evidence have you got that I am not saved by grace alone through the death and resurrection of Christ? You assume too much and you condemn before you understand - these are not Christ-like qualities. Repent, brother!"

He says he has never believed in religion and yet he believes in a religious version of the Bible and is a minister of a denominational (divisional) church and for those reasons alone I am not his brother nor could I ever be until he has repented of these religious contaminations and denounced them and that's without even mentioning all the errors of his beliefs revealed herewith. The evidence is here for all to see because his religious beliefs nullify grace and that's why the Lord Jesus Christ said sarcastically:

Matt 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick."

You see, the religious or 'righteous' have no need of grace and it is their religion that 'saves' them and they therefore have no need of The Lord Jesus Christ or, if He is present He's only there as token or a logo for their religious marketing plan in the form of the wimp Jesus. (Please see my series of articles entitled: "Was The Lord Jesus Christ a Long Haired Effeminate Looking Wimp?")

I am certainly not assuming anything as it's all very plain for all to see - that is, if we can see!

"'Kingdom building' is a term used to help people understand the purpose of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I am sorry if you read it differently. I would be interested in your interpretation of the word 'edify' which fails to include this understanding."

Kingdom building is a term used by mainstream Christianity to tell us that they are trying to build the Kingdom of God, on earth, here and now, in this age when The Lord Jesus Christ left no instruction to do so. Everything he has stated above is pure unadulterated explaining away and whether or not he realises it is by the by. He then invites me to give my interpretation on it; what use would my interpretation be? Of no use at all, just as the interpretation he has given is of no use either.

"I have read your articles on free will. They do not answer the questions in between the black and white you suggest (if we have free will then God cannot be all powerful - a 'spurious' argument, if we have free will then we can marvel all the more at the sovereignty of God). I do not find it hard to believe that both statements can be true because God is God."

Now we have a classic example of the spirit of compromise or the "grey" thought processes of the Bible intellectual or liberal theologian which also reveals his rebellious or unrepentant frame of mind. I am telling him the truth about freewill and the truth that man in his fallen condition does not have it but he tries to tell me otherwise or argues against The Truth. This alone tells us all we need to know about this man's spiritual condition. He says, and I quote: "if we have free will then we can marvel all the more at the sovereignty of God" This statement is correct if applied to those who are Born Again, but it does not apply to the lost and unsaved. Yes, they have will but it is not free for they can only do the will of the one they are slaves to - the Devil. To be free i.e. to have freewill, we must be Born Again:

John 8:32-36 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant (slave) of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (Brackets mine)

Whosoever committeth sin is the servant (slave) of sin. Slaves have no freewill they can only do the will of their master - the Devil.

"Brother Apollos, think again before you call yourself an expert!"

I'm honoured, for he's now complimenting me with the name Apollos but I think there is a touch of sarcasm there somewhere, don't you? One thing is for sure, though, I am not Mr Night's brother nor did I give myself the title 'expert' as that is a title Ezine Articles bestows upon us rookie article writers. If I am correct I think we're all experts - it's good isn't it?

"The Bible itself does not claim infallibility for itself - why do you claim infallibility on its behalf? The Bible also distinguishes between the Word of God (OT 'Word of the LORD') and the scriptures. You would be wise to follow its example."

I am not sure what he's on about here other than the fact that the Word of God is infallible if you know how to read it i.e. with the help of the Holy Spirit, for without that Spirit it's impossible to read and understand The Word of God. Again we have the Bible intellectual's view of Holy Scripture shining through here. The infallibility - non-infallibility argument is their argument it's not my argument nor is it the argument of any son or daughter of God because for us there is no argument. The Word of God is the Word of The Lord, it's all the same thing for The Lord Jesus Christ is The Word of God and He has always been the Word of God for He has always self-existed. These people have the infallibility - non-infallibility issue or obsess over it, because they read the Holy Scriptures as men only not as Spiritual men and that is their problem and it will remain their problem until The Father God removes the scales from their eyes.

OK, that's it for part four which I hope you have enjoyed - part five coming soon.

Mr Night - The Baptist Minister - Part 3

By Charles Crosby

Right, off we go as I return to my roller coaster ride with our man of religion. Who through this whole episode cannot even see that he is man of religion such is his blindness.

In the first comment of his e-mail he feebly tries to twist what I said at the end of my last e-mail where I said: "I'm beginning to think I do not need another baptism."

"OK. It is as I thought, you were not enquiring about baptism, but picking an argument with a brother. You, sir, are not 'beginning to think you don't need another baptism', you have already made up your mind."

First of all in this paragraph, he judges me again and he cannot see that I was mocking him. By saying what I did I was revealing to him that after only a couple of e-mails from him I was showing, as a mere disciple, I knew more about The Truth than he did as a supposed minister of God. Hence I felt I no longer needed to be baptised again, but of course I did, and I was being facetious. I have now been baptised again into the Lord Jesus Christ's name alone, so he couldn't have been more wrong.

"I do have questions for you to consider:"

Here in this remark we can see he is still on his high ground and thinking he can teach me something religious - but only in his dreams. These questions are not being asked because he wants to learn but, rather, as points for correcting me.

"1. Who decides what is Holy Scripture and what is a 'Roman Catholic addition and therefore spurious'? Who (which authors) are you relying on since you have obviously not done the research yourself? Why is that person 'more accurate' for you than another scholar? Do you like that author because he feeds your inner prejudices?"

Now this paragraph is very revealing for what it doesn't say rather than for what it does. He asks who decides what is Holy Scripture and what is Roman Catholic addition. I should have asked him in return why and how didn't he know. Who out of the two of us is the minister or pastor here? Who is supposed to be responsible for 'leading' a flock of believers? I know it's true that 1 John 5:7 and the first part of verse 8 is spurious but he doesn't - why? The research and study into this subject is one of the easiest and most straight forward I have ever done. What has he been doing all his ministerial life? I will tell you, not studying the Word of God as he should but, just believing blindly what he was 'taught' in his Bible College or wherever it was where he was conditioned with the Roman Catholic religious version of the Bible. I don't know if he's going to read this article or not but I will now tell him (just in case he does) who decides. Any son of God who is led by the Son through the Holy Spirit decides. Sons and daughters of God know immediately when something is amiss in the Word of God (they know their Master's voice) and more importantly than that, question everything they read because they know what Rome represents and they know how much of God's Holy Word has been contaminated by them through the centuries. Unfortunately this 'pastor' is far too busy 'kingdom building' or swallowing camels to be bothered with seeking out The Truth - The Lord Jesus Christ.

He then shows his ignorance in not understanding the Spiritual dimension when he thinks I am placing my faith in a particular Bible scholar when I have done no such thing for, Adam Clarke is one of many who will corroborate this evidence about 1 John 5:7. It's just that I did not mention them to him but, in reality, this is beside the point for, what we have to understand here is his sneaky regard for Rome. What he is displaying here is his hidden respect for mother and her agenda i.e. the Mother of Harlots in Rome. All denominations do this for they are all daughters of the Whore. In his accusing me of my prejudices he is secretly or not so secretly defending his mother, whether he likes it or not and, by default, he has done this probably without even realising, so ingrained is it. I have never prejudged Rome for they condemn themselves by their beliefs and their actions and traditions all I do is point them out or reveal them. Perhaps this is Mr Night's problem - he hasn't or doesn't wish to. He can judge me at will but not the organisation he should judge and this tells us everything we need to know about this man.

"2. You quote a Hebrew translation of Matthew's gospel as if that is more accurate yet these are not the earliest (by a long way) manuscripts - could it be because it is the only support for your point because there are no disputed readings in this verse in the Greek? You assume that Matthew's gospel was written in Hebrew, but there is no evidence for this. Aramaic may be a better choice (but again there is no evidence in the form of manuscripts, just observations from scholars in linguistics)"

Again he gets the wrong end of the stick by accusing me of saying I consider the Hebrew version more accurate. I didn't say it was more accurate I just used it as more evidence. Any novice Bible scholar will tell you that Matthew's gospel was written more for the Jews benefit than the other three gospel accounts so the fact that a Hebrew version exists should come as no surprise. Again what we have to analyse here is his vehement opposition to everything I am saying. What does this behaviour tell us? It tells us one simple thing, it would not have mattered how much evidence I showed him he still would have argued against me. In turn you will realise, as we work through his emails, that I deliberately didn't waste my time providing him with more evidence as he would have pooh-poohed it all. Casting pearls before swine comes to mind.

"3. 1 Tim 2:3,4 and Rom 11:26 do not suggest that everyone will be saved, but that God is not desirous that anyone should be lost. In your understanding where is the need for belief and for faith? Are you suggesting all have it and that all exercise it? If the whole world will be saved does that mean all the people of every generation? Your understanding suggests so, in which case there is no need for faith or baptism. You are also implying that it is pointless preaching the gospel so we do it only because we are told to."

Now real Spiritual blindness kicks in when he tells me 1 Tim 3:4 and Romans 11:26 don't say what they do say - or is it stubborn pride? This is the same mindset that told me the five or six verses I quoted to counter Matthew 28:19 were not relevant - unbelievable!! This is real "black is white" stuff here and you will not find a more blatant example of it. I'm not even going to try and unravel what he is next saying here for he hasn't a clue. Have no fear though because my article on the Two Resurrections will explain just how Spiritually blind our Baptist Pastor is - coming soon to ezinearticles.com. Let's hope for his sake he reads it.

"4. If you want to distinguish between 'building the kingdom of God ' and 'being equipped and led by the Holy Spirit in evangelism and edifying the church of God ' that's fine, I was using the theological shorthand most people understand. In what way is your 'work' of contacting pastors like me edifying me as part of the church? Do not think giving me Scripture as proof texts is enough - the devil did that to Jesus in His temptation and was still the devil!"

Ah now we are getting some theological explaining away of their jargon term 'kingdom building' but it hasn't worked and notice the slip up; 'being equipped'. If we are Born Again we are equipped - period, we're not 'being equipped' and this still does not let him off the hook with this false teaching of 'kingdom building'. Do any of you know what it means? If not I will tell you; it means they are attempting to build the kingdom of God on earth now or at least they think they are, but nothing could be further from the truth. It's just more evidence of their deluded condition and to prove it the Lord Jesus Christ left no such instruction to his disciples or His Apostles to do such a thing. We need to understand these simple basic facts: The Lord Jesus Christ is our King, the King of kings, but He has no Kingdom yet, He doesn't even have a throne. He sits at The Father's right hand in heaven but He doesn't have a throne, He's coming to this earth soon to take His Throne - the throne of King David and that throne is here in the British Isles. Queen Elizabeth II sits on King David's throne and that is the throne the Lord Jesus Christ will take when He returns to this earth.

Furthermore, Mr Night has slyly attempted to shift 'kingdom building' over to actually meaning 'edifying the Church' but edifying the church is not kingdom building it's strengthening the faith of the believers and encouraging them, supporting them in times of trouble. The kingdom is already in us once we're Born Again so there is nothing to build. Then in a last swipe he suggests my use of the Holy Scriptures can be likened to the Devil's use of them when tempting the Lord Jesus Christ - how perverted and misconceived is that? I am not tempting this man I am exposing his religious credentials and trying to help him come to repentance. The thing is when someone believes he cannot be wrong or he thinks he knows everything there is to know about the Word of God, repentance is highly unlikely - well in this life anyway.

OK, that's it for this e-mail and I will copy my next e-mail to him here:

"Mr Night,

Quite honestly, I now wish I had never written to you for, generally, I now no longer engage those of mainstream Christianity or churchianity i.e. the deluded. I am telling you The Truth and The Lord Jesus Christ is The Truth.

Sadly, I do not see you as a brother nor will I until I see some signs of repentance.

As far as my baptism is concerned I considered it sound until I learnt that Matthew 28:19 like 1 John 5:7-8 is spurious. What you have to decide Mr Night is whether or not you believe in religion or The Lord Jesus Christ for, following The Lord Jesus Christ is not religion.

Adam Clarke, amongst others, will clearly show you that 1 John 5 7-8 is, to put it mildly, unreliable and spurious. I say it's a blatant demonic man made contamination of God's Holy Word. The trinity was conjured up by a Roman Catholic blasphemer called Tertullian in 200 AD and it was never taught by The Apostles in the first century. Having said that, I will put it to you that, no matter how much evidence I give you, you will still prefer to believe lies - the lies of the Christian Religion.

This subject is far too big to discuss via e-mails and I do not have the time to re-write all my material here so I will post a link to my web page where hopefully you can learn something: (My Ezine address here)

As a final point I will raise the issue of God's desire and ask you a question: How irresistible do you think God's desire is? To put it another way is it weak or powerful? Herein lies the problem with mainstream Christianity for it sees God as a weakling with its images of a long haired effeminate wimp Jesus and a God that is dependent upon grass hoppers to build His Kingdom. We are called to be witnesses not kingdom builders. If we are Born Again the Kingdom is in us so no 'building' (whatever that is) is required."

Stay with it folks for part 4 and more of his silly religious nonsense.

Mr Night - The Baptist Minister - Part 2

By Charles Crosby

Here in part two I start with my second e-mail to him. At this point it could be said that I should have let it be and ignored his reply but being a son of God and brother of the Lord Jesus Christ I could not let his errors pass me by without an answer from the Holy Scriptures. So this is what I sent him:

"Thank you for your reply.

I will have to counter your comments on there not being a 'formula' and these Holy Scriptures will bear me out:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:15-17 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 19:5-6 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

I would also add that 1 John 5:7-8 is a Roman Catholic addition and therefore wholly spurious. This alone tells us the trinity is false. There is also much evidence to support the fact that Matthew 28:19 in its present form is also a Roman Catholic addition. In the Hebrew version of Matthew's Gospel it more or less reads:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."

The other thing we have to ask ourselves is this: Why would we be baptised into The Father when The Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again that we might have access to The Father. This is why the curtain in the Temple was rent in two to show that the old high priesthood days were over. I can assure you that I am not influenced by any man and without The Lord Jesus Christ I would not be able to do any studying at all.

I take it from your reply that you are unable to help me.

Charles Crosby."

Now here is his reply:

"Not unable, unwilling - it is clear you do not want to build the kingdom of God, you just want a fight. Nor are you a genuine enquirer into a faith in Jesus Christ, you have already made up your mind. Please do NOT waste my time trying to change me on a matter of secondary importance."

Straightaway we can see four failings in his opening remarks:
1) no love due to:-
2) stubborn pride through completely ignoring the Holy Scriptures quoted;
3) total error;
4) a judgemental attitude on two counts.

Firstly he admits he doesn't want to help me - no love. Secondly, this unwillingness to help is founded upon his unteachable mindset due the fact that he believes he cannot be wrong. In his mind he knows it all - everything, and let me tell you dear people we should never, ever take this stance or adopt this mindset. It should always be in humility we answer or with the Berean attitude or something like: "OK I hear what you are saying and I will check it out to see if it is so." He did not do this because his mind is closed and this is the trinity believing mind in action. The trinity is closed too - one two three and that's it but with the real Godhead of two it's Father and Son who are in the process of increasing their family and adding to their number with us as brothers and sisters of the Son - the Lord Jesus Christ. Now that's church building not kingdom building, which brings us to number three where he has the audacity or is it foolishness to declare this issue to be of secondary importance. I will remind you all of what we are discussing here: the matter of whether or not we are properly baptised into our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ, or to put it more simply whether we are actually saved or not. Can you believe this man's attitude? Well yes I can because he is deluded and I obviously put a few chinks in his religious armour which we must remember is only paper thin.

"while one friend, relation or neighbour of yours is bound for hell and you are doing nothing but argue with me rather then warn them and demonstrate to them the love and grace of God."

Now we can see his Fundamental Christian credentials shining through and at the same time revealing his Biblical ignorance. He's all stressed out and bent out of shape over the lost who will remain lost unless The Father calls them to His Son and that's not going to happen to most of them is this age. They will be saved in the second resurrection but Mr Night knows nothing about the second resurrection nor anything about the redemption of all mankind. You see, like his deluded followers, he thinks he's got to get them all saved in this life. Do these people ever stop and think about their success rate in this quest to save the world? I don't think so and if they do they must descend into deep depression over it for most of the people I have ever known including all my family have died in their sins. Do I think they're in hell fire? No. Do I think they're suffering in torment? No. Do I think they're dead and know nothing just as the Holy Scriptures teach us? Yes. Do I think they will come up in the second resurrection and be reunited with me in the Kingdom of God? Yes and this is the glorious Good News of the real Gospel message, a message Mr Night in his permanent spiritual darkness knows nothing about.

The thing is dear readers are you going to continue to believe in their lies and deceptions? Please realise too that I am not printing these e-mails to humiliate this man for he is doing that to himself. I am printing these e-mails for you to learn the error of mainstream Christianity's ways so that you may be set free from religious bondage. Bondage that men like Mr Night hold captive their flocks.

He finally accuses me of arguing with him when it is he who is arguing with me for I am telling him the Truth, but in his stubborn religious pride he will not listen and accept it. Notice too how he emphasises the fear factor in warning the lost. How can the Good News message be Good News if it's a fear based warning or a form of blackmail? Did Peter threaten those he was preaching to on that first Pentecost? No, he pricked their consciences yes but he did not threaten them or blackmail them in any way. Please read Acts chapter 2 for confirmation of what I am saying.

I will finish here with my e-mailed reply to him and then cover in detail his reply to me in the next article.

"Mr Night,

I'm not here to build 'the kingdom', (and nor are you) The Lord Jesus Christ is going to do that when He returns to this earth to rule it with a rod of iron. If you think you're building the kingdom then The Lord Jesus Christ might as well remain in heaven forever.

I am more than willing to learn it's just that it would appear you have nothing to offer me.

I am not arguing with you The Lord Jesus Christ is telling you through His word. I have given you Holy Scriptures which you don't like because you believe Roman Catholic religious garbage and sooner or later you are going to have to repent of it.

No one is going to hell only those imagined in the minds of deluded mainstream Christians. You need to learn about the two resurrections and how all mankind will eventually be saved. That is the real Good News and here is another Holy Scripture or three for you to meditate on.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.1 Tim 2:3-4 (KJV)

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Romans 11:26 (KJV)

I did not initiate the high tone Mr Night you did when you tried to teach me, when all the while I have no need of your teaching:

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John 2:27 (KJV)

I'm beginning to think I do not need another baptism.

Charles Crosby"

OK, that's it and stay with it because he is very persistent with his errors as you will see.

Charles Crosby.
